Review on Efficient Vintaj Cutting ✂️ Spring: 7 Inch Precision Cutting Tool by Linda Diaz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought to cut metal kraft paper dies and their protrusions.

Requires small scissors that will cut metal and hardened metal enough to pierce dies. They often come with small parts still attached to the lugs. Not only do you need to cut them, you also need to make them smooth enough so you don't cut your fingers during use. The rough chunks that are left over when you cut them apart. In any case, we craftsmen often use the wrong scissors, which wear out quickly, these are wire snips. They are simply made or designed for softer metal wires, not stamped metals. So they failed quickly, and while they're expensive, it's very frustrating to ruin one of them almost immediately because you hit it while trying to cut the dies. Now I have that and some scissors to make the job a little better. They have fewer scissor tips than many metal scissors, so that's a PLUS for this type of use. Actually, I'm still looking for even smaller shears that are strong enough to cut flat sheet metal that is also hardened. However, it took me several years to find them. I'm tempted to buy a second pair as a spare if I can't find others. Many stamps arrive already cut and smoothed all over, but cheaper imports aren't as good. I buy different brands as well as unnamed brands. I find that many imported products also have great creative designs. BUT there is a price to pay and that's it. I'm in the process of sharing new stamps and it will probably take me over a week to work 4-6 hours a day just cutting and smoothing out the details. So this tool will get a super job. I have not used it to cut sheet metal. I have made. designed my way. I also punched it through an office punch for comb and wire binding with square holes and it worked great and I used wire to hold the pieces together. It's been running fantastic for over 7 years but this year one of the zip ties failed when it got caught on something so I used these scissors to cut out a new piece and replaced the damaged panel. Smooth as sliced butter. But the aluminum isn't tempered and is fairly malleable, although one side is forged, giving it good substance and great for my purpose today.
