Poor Quality Control

Totally falls under the phrase "You get what you pay for”. When I opened the scissors from the box I wasn't very surprised to find the edges dull given the cheap price, but I was surprised by the significant amount of burrs and nicks. I took a small file followed by a whetstone and with a lot of effort I got a decent cutting edge that you can use to make complex cuts in thin brass. These scissors should never have passed even the lowest quality control. The scissors were very cheap, but... Come

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Appearance

If you only ever cut small parts these are great. They cut metal with ease, with enough leverage for softer metals. If you need to make longer parts (10 inches or more) you will find that it is only good for rough machining at first. You will also need to deburr the edge and file it lightly. Not the cleanest cut, but easy to use. Highly recommended if you are making small jewelry or just need to cut small and thin sheets of metal. Any cuts longer than 6 inches or so may make you think of a saw…

Great for cutting thinner metals

This works great on my thinner/lighter metals or softer metals - much better than my hacksaw. However, the biggest problem with metal shears is that you can only cut the metal before you have to bend it to get it. So it's great when you're cutting rough shapes, for example (like blanks for stamping metal), but it's a problem when you need to do something like cutting a straight strip out of a larger piece of metal. Grip, the grip coating is durable and does not cause pain in the hand like other

Bought to cut metal kraft paper dies and their protrusions.

Requires small scissors that will cut metal and hardened metal enough to pierce dies. They often come with small parts still attached to the lugs. Not only do you need to cut them, you also need to make them smooth enough so you don't cut your fingers during use. The rough chunks that are left over when you cut them apart. In any case, we craftsmen often use the wrong scissors, which wear out quickly, these are wire snips. They are simply made or designed for softer metal wires, not stamped…
