After installing this pump I waited a bit to check. This is the third fuel pump replacement on a vintage Silverado with 175,000 miles. The fuel level sensor on the original pump failed at 70,000 miles, and the sensors on two non-OEM replacements lasted even fewer miles. Incidentally, the pump itself did not fail in any of the three. This has been installed for about 10,000 miles and works well. A local parts store that owns a truck of the same model told me this AC Delco part is the answer. The time will show.
