Unit purchased was good value however after installing and assembling my truck a defective fuel supply unit was discovered. The transmitter unit did not show the correct fuel level in my tank. After all the work on replacing the block, it turned out that it was defective. Awaiting a response from the company regarding the replacement.

Make sure you order the correct part. If you have EVAP (the second connector in the wiring harness, like my truck) this is not for you. Since I did a lot of other things for my truck and fine-tuned the tuning, I was fine. I consider this pump for heavier tasks but what I really care about is that it solved all my problems and my fuel gauge is working again.

The description of this pump states that it fits a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup. So I thought it was a true statement. So I ordered it and it turned out to be a far cry from "push my truck". I only discovered this after spending a few hours removing the fuel tank and here it is. Wrong item! My truck's fuel pump has 2 connectors and the replacement only had a 4 pin connector.

After installing this pump I waited a bit to check. This is the third fuel pump replacement on a vintage Silverado with 175,000 miles. I'm sure you'll be fine if you buy a good one. However, mine was defective. I had fuel pressure issues with my original pump so I bought it but didn't bother installing it for a while. Long story short, after installing the new pump, I still had pressure issues, lower than the original pump. This pump does NOT come with an EVAP sensor. I strongly recommend that you determine if your car has 2 plugs on the fuel pump. I have, so I had to remove the EVAP sensor from my old pump, drill a hole in the top of this new pump and install the sensor. It wasn't difficult, but it's better to buy a pump with the sensor already installed. Also, I do NOT like the requirement to replace the fuel pump wiring harness/fuel gauge electrical connector.
