Review on Stainless French Coffee Insulated Espresso by Evelyn Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Glass/plastic is preferred. Use the suggested recipe.

After reading reviews from other French presses, we decided we needed a stainless steel option (plastic seems to make things taste funny or melt and glass breaks). Then we decided on this one based on other reviews. Although there were no instructions in the box, the seller sent us a "recipe" for how much coffee to use, how long to stand, etc. We used those instructions and tweaked them a bit for our coffee. My husband absolutely loves it. We use fairly expensive coffee grounds (although it's cheaper than going to a coffee shop) so we wanted to make sure the flavor really came out (the preferred style is a medium roast French roast, although it's darker than regular coffee). since it is a French roast). A few tips: Remember to grind your coffee a little coarser (if it's too fine, it will slip through the French Press). For our recipe, we use 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for every 10 ounces of water (10-12 ounces of water). Heat it in the microwave for 3 minutes (that's about 205 degrees, but you can test your water). Pour into a saucepan (there is no more thickness). Let stand (cover but do not press) for 1 minute. Then stir vigorously for 10 seconds. Then let stand 4 minutes. Then press down and you're done.
