The copy of the card I received causes old Dell servers (tested in R200, R610, R510) to fail on hotboot with an installed PCIe 3.0 NVME SSD with "PCIe learning " get stuck. I tried contacting the seller for help troubleshooting but they said it was too technical. After purchasing a different brand SSD, a different brand adapter card (StarTech) and testing combinations on three different servers, I narrowed the issue down to this card (both SSDs work on any server using the StarTech adapter instead) . I worked around the issue for a while by shutting down the server and then physically unplugging it, waiting a few seconds, and then booting it up with no hangs. However, warm reboots cause persistent freezes. So I don't recommend it, at least not if you expect it to be backward compatible with PCIe 2.0. I didn't have a PCIe 3.0 system to test with.
