No complaints Good for serial adapters

I used this to add an NVME disk to my Sandbridge. Realize that I can't boot from it, my next motherboard upgrade will support PCIe 4.0. Meanwhile, I achieved download speeds of 965 Mbit/s while retrieving ISO files and installing/updating the game library. After purchasing it I realized I could order a version that doesn't even need a bracket, but I'm only used to expansion cards with a bracket I guess. I could also order a version that would give me room to expand, but I'm hoping if I need a…

Price, quality including parts and performance

I was concerned about the low price and quality but am very happy to report it is well made, comes with everything you need to install, and works as advertised! Parts include a frame to attach to a laptop, screws to attach to a frame, and a screw to attach the SSD. The aluminum thermal block easily attaches to the SSD with the included thermal pad. There was even a screwdriver. This is an easy setup. Very satisfied with the quality and especially the price. I would buy this again without…

Couldn't ask for more

Works great at full speed. There is nothing to add. A heatsink is a nice bonus, but not required for most SSDs (they're designed to fit snugly inside laptops, after all). Many of us may encounter compatibility issues when upgrading older systems. For example, I have a second PCIe x16 slot that I originally used for an SSD. I'm only getting 1600MB/s from my 3800MB/s SSD (brand new 500GB Crucial P5). I did some troubleshooting and my motherboard only worked in x1 mode. I changed it to my graphics

Causes two PCIe 2.0 systems to hang on hot boot; Cold start is normal.

The copy of the card I received causes old Dell servers (tested in R200, R610, R510) to fail on hotboot with an installed PCIe 3.0 NVME SSD with "PCIe learning " get stuck. I tried contacting the seller for help troubleshooting but they said it was too technical. After purchasing a different brand SSD, a different brand adapter card (StarTech) and testing combinations on three different servers, I narrowed the issue down to this card (both SSDs work on any server using the StarTech adapter…

Pros
  • Cooling effect from 5 °C to 20 °C M.2 heatsink (depending on the environment) ensures good performance of the M.2 PCIe SSD even under full load.
Cons
  • Something else

The single M.2 version of this card, PA09_HS, is a decent product, but I wonder if they had that in mind when designing. The card comes with a silicon spacer for the overlay heatsink, but also comes with two steel clips - presumably for securing the heatsink to the M.2 - but as one of the other reviewers noted, they are VERY hard and will scratch your M 2nd attempt don't even bother, because you're going to cry. Other models of this board also come with two double-sided M.2 silicone pads, just…

Good Adapter, NOT Support Windows 7, Fit/Finish & Directions So-Sun

If you really want to speed up your old desktop and want a PCIe slot, this NVMe M.2 SSD hard drive card might be a good option, but be prepared for some minor hiccups and know that this is not a viable option is. for opponents of Windows 7. If your computer is old, be sure to check if it can recognize the PCI storage device as a boot drive. Inside the box is a cute little screwdriver that will do for many. While this is handy, if you have a good jeweler's screwdriver, you'll probably want to…
