Not suitable for REAL Hi Lift. What?!?! Isn't that the point of the purchase? He has one function - to maintain high buoyancy, and he cannot do that. Zero stars well deserved. Also, as mentioned, the holes for the pads are meaningless as the Hij is held in place by a screw. Terrible design and execution. For that price I could build something and then buy $50 worth of beer.

It was a few dollars less than the big competitors and it only gave 2 points instead of 4. I was expecting the quality to match the lower price but that's pretty happy with the Strength and overall quality of attachment. It didn't have a diagram for figuring out where to cut the holes so it took me a bit of trial and error, but once I got it right it installed just fine.

This secured my 2013 2 door jeep but I couldn't securely attach the jack. The jack just didn't fit in the bracket, I had to remove the handle lock and the screw that secures the bracket to the jeep interfered with the jack leaving it crooked in the bracket. The lower bolt with the handle could not be screwed in at all because the jack was sitting very deep in it and the bolt was too long. It just doesn't fit that well in the nest.

Had to write a review as I am very impressed with this product. Installation was quick and easy. I have a full size Rubicon 255 in the back and there is plenty of room. I have used Hi Lift HL485 in this holder and it is very comfortable. I doubt it will knock, but haven't ridden after installing it. Nice setup, wasn't sure at first when drilling but my holes matched perfectly! It was a little tricky to line up the spacers etc but once I did it was easy, a few turns of the ratchet and then the Boomshackled. The only downside I have is that my 48" jack seems to rattle a bit. I took some foam for the hot water pipes and smoothed the inside of the bracket, but that's not enough. non slip tape and stick it to the bottom etc to see if that stops it, otherwise great product for the money (just…

Ideal for lifts - if you have a 54" Smittybilt, the base is too big. See photos, the third is the base on Smittbilt, it's too big. The jack will fit but not the base which you can change or buy a new base. I used my Hi-Lift base for photos. The forge is black, it has been varnished. I have 35 inch tires, they are 33 1/2 wide and there is a clear inch between them and the bolt. Well I'd say it's about what I would expect for the price. Not very good technique, but the screw holes were well matched. I was planning on mounting it over the hinge covers but the standoffs were different lengths and I didn't want to drill massive holes in the covers and figured I would lose mounting strength and thread depth by mounting the holder farther from the hinges. I added adhesive backed furniture pads where the jack is held and between the bracket and the hinges to make it stronger
