This is exactly what I needed. I have a home lab and restore it fairly regularly every few months - I used to use a Toshiba 320GB external USB drive, which was more or less a laptop drive in an enclosure; as if it were an imitation. This runs at an average speed of 20 MB/s. I had the bright idea of upgrading to a USB 3.0 stick, but Windows didn't recognize it as a valid backup/restore device. Enter it. USB 3.0 I installed a 240GB SSD and now I have around 300MB. recovery much faster. Much faster backup. My only complaint is that it has a short 18 inch cable. 3 meters would be much better.
