Review on Outdoor Research Highcamp Gloves Medium: Superior Comfort and Durability for Your Outdoor Adventures by Joshua Donnis

Very disappointed, not for military use.

My parents asked me what I wanted for Christmas. Currently stationed in South Korea. My department didn't give me cold weather gloves so I settled on these and my parents bought them and mailed them to me. I hoped they would warm my hands and stagnate well. But my pieces freeze in it unless I'm moving very actively, like a fast march jolt. But even when sweeping a parking lot or patrolling, my fingers freeze. I even added another wool liner and they are still freezing. It says from -5° to 25°, but even at 10° your fingers are very cold. Unless I'm very active in something. Overall very disappointed with these gloves, was hoping my hands would get toasty just getting up. Because as infantry you sit out in the cold and do nothing. So for military purposes they are not the best solution. As for the design of the gloves, the drawstrings that keep the cuffs in sync get in the way. Too much hanging around and catching on things moving well through bushes. I like the bracelets that you can wear. So when you take off your gloves, you don't have to worry about losing them. Overall very disappointed, wish I had gone with another couple. This is the first time I've decided to do outdoor studies and I don't know if I'll do it again. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone in the military. Would ask for a refund but as my parents bought them for me and it took them a whole month to get here I don't want to deal with the hassle. I also need them for upcoming outdoor events.
