Review on 🚗 KYB SM5266 - Strut Mount Kit: Superior Performance and Durability for Smooth Ride by Andy Metzger

I have been using KYB products for 20 years. In my experience, the quality and functionality of the products have declined in recent years. I had a few issues with their Gas Adjust shocks. They talk about a lifetime guarantee on them but as soon as you complain they tell you their life is over. I bought these to replace some on my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. I installed it, as did many others. Everything went smoothly enough. Everything was fine until I went from Oregon to Utah and there was a 20 degree jump in temperature. I noticed a creaking noise coming from the front when I turned left or right. The noise came from both the left and right side of the car. It's very audible. It sounds like sticky rubber rubbing against a smooth surface where it grabs and then releases for a second and then grabs and releases. As soon as the outside temperature drops below 80 degrees, the noise disappears. During the day when it gets warmer the noise comes back and gets worse the hotter it gets. The noise is only present when turning the steering wheel. The only thing that has changed is the brackets and mounts. My guess is that it could be the shelves themselves, but it doesn't look like they came off the shelves. These are also KYB racks. Anyway, I'd love to get her back, but then I'm looking at a different alignment. I wouldn't buy them again.
