I bought an Ender 3 Pro and soon started having problems with the original magnetic build plate. It has never been perfectly level and even. I bought a fancy borosilicate glass bed and covered it with a PEI sheet. This gave me a perfectly flat base with amazing adhesion, but the problem was that adhesion was sometimes too good and it was difficult to remove the pieces without damaging them or the PEI sheet. In addition, the glass was heavy and limited printing speeds. And I had to deal with clips. Eventually I got fed up and started researching spring steel plates like this one. I read many reviews and couldn't decide which one to buy. I finally settled on this one because I was able to get it fairly quickly and figured if it was awful I'd return it. I'm sure I'm glad I chose this one. Wow. I want this to be my very first mod for my printer. I've made LOTS of modifications to my printer now, but this one will probably be high on my list of the best. The printing surface is flat and level, well fixed with a magnet. The plate is very easy to remove and reinsert. And with a slight flexing of the platen, the prints pop out instantly. I previously removed the stock magnetic surface from my build plate, so I was glad they added a new one with this plate. It was easy to apply and held up well. Based on all the previous reviews I've read I wasn't sure what to expect from this screen protector that I have to remove. There was a sheet of plastic taped to the top and I knew it had to be removed and it was a protective piece of plastic. If someone can't understand that, what does it have to do with a 3D printer? Ignore all the other reviews that make this difficult. It is clear what needs to be removed. Lose weight and move on. After removing the protective film I figured there was one more layer to remove (all those other reviews were still in my head). But after carefully scraping the corner with a knife, I decided it wasn't, leaving only PEI itself. The reason I thought it might need to peel more was that the PEI sheet had some damage/pitting, but it's all pretty close to the edge and shouldn't affect the print much as I rarely get to the edges . I was going to include some photos in this review but that option seems to have disappeared. Either way, it's a fantastic build platform and you should buy it!
