Mom from Seattle approved.

There are a lot of conflicting reviews about impregnation so I thought I'd add my two cents. We ordered these boots for our 16 month old son. We live in Seattle and the kid needs comfortable waterproof boots. Add to that the fact that baby has thick calves, so many high-knee boots just won't put her on without a lot of work and discomfort. I LOVE LOVE these boots and more importantly my kid does too. He squeaked and pointed at them the entire first day we used them, probably because we finally found a comfortable pair. He can walk, climb and "run" without any problems. As for "water resistance", it is like a neoprene material. They resist water for a LONG TIME but can get wet. To be clear I let him run for two hours in wet weather with mud and puddles and he came back with dry feet. I let him roam the Puget Sound - dry feet. The two scenarios that got them soaked were 1) when we got into torrential rain nonstop for 15 minutes and ended up WET, and 2) when he roamed Puget Sound and climbed far enough for the water to enter through the draft . Holes on the calves of the boot. For small children, the water does not have to be that deep to reach this height. I suspect that much of the difference between a boot making "just puddles" wet is due to these holes. I'm just making sure that I have spare socks if I think this is going to be a problem. The water doesn't really have to be that deep to reach that height. I guess a lot of the difference between getting the boot "just a puddle" wet is related to those holes.
