Galvanized - be careful when welding!
When they arrived I found that they were zinc plated which means electroplated. If you weld directly onto it without removing the coating, you could contract electroplating poisoning! Therefore, first prepare the material by removing the coating. It seems impractical to electroplate a product intended for welding.
