Review on Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 SP XR Di LD Aspherical (IF) Lens for Canon DSLR Cameras (Model A09E) by Nguyen Bach ᠌

The right product for me, there were no problems.

I've been using for a year now. Delight, especially after getting to know the products of other systems. I have been taking pictures since 2022, I sat on the Kenon, Nikon, Pentax, Fuji systems at different times, but I never had such glass. Everything is perfectly balanced in it. I also have two fixes, but if you need to get everything in one and go somewhere to travel, so as not to think about changing lenses, this is what you need. I can also unequivocally praise the lightning-fast and accurate focusing, right here, well done, which is rare for non-native glasses in principle. Sharpness is also on top. There are almost no geometric distortions. XA and Vignetting are corrected automatically in the camera when shooting in JPEG, there is a profile or in LR as always in the standard way. I did not find anything supercritical, but for its relatively moderate price - this is generally a gift of fate. Importantly, a year has passed since I switched to Sony in conjunction with Tamron, and the sensations that I miscalculated, as there were never. Of the minuses - this is a very fragile case, I especially advise you to carefully handle it in the cold. I photographed in a monastery at -10 with a cold wind and accidentally and lightly touched the corner of the building with a lens hood when I parted with a crowd of people, the lens hood does not care, but the ring for attaching the lens hood to the lens gave a crack, which I noticed only a week later . Replacing this ring in the official Tamron service about 1500r. does not affect the tightness and operation of the lens. Conclusions: The lens is worth every invested. However, for use in professional "wild" reporting (severe weather and natural conditions), I do not recommend using it. For amateurs and undemanding professionals, my strong recommendations for purchase! For a snack. I saw photos from G-master 24-70 2.8 in comparison with Tamron. If the frame is well executed, then the difference should be looked at under a magnifying glass, but I think that such an incident with a crack would not have happened with G-master. but the price difference is 3 times! so the crack is a question more to my hands . all good shots)

Pros
  • Sharpness, focus, picture, bokeh (as for zoom), aperture, price
Cons
  • Plastic housing, not very suitable for use in harsh professional environments (frost, rain, sand, etc.)
