Review on Instant Pot Electric Cold Brew Coffee Maker - Quickly Make Custom Strength 32Oz Pitcher, Dishwasher Safe by Kay Daniels

Small footprint - great taste

One of the first things I noticed is how small a footprint the Instant Cold Brewer takes on the counter. If space is an issue, this appliance will not take up a lot of space. The next thing of note was when I washed the pieces. The opening in the glass pitcher is small. If you wash in the dishwasher, that’s no problem. But if you wash by hand, it’s very tight. I don’t see how a man would be able to adequately wash the pitcher. Not only that, but the space inside the pitcher, underneath the handle housing, is tough to clean. I was able to maneuver the sponge under the rim and work it around the pitcher. The brew basket is also narrow. The Instant Cold Brewer came with an instruction manual which was easy to follow. Brewing was very simple and you can make as little as 16 oz. or as much as 32 oz. Pour water into the pitcher, add coffee grounds (or tea leaves) into the brew basket, put the basket into the pitcher, secure the lid, place the pitcher on the power base, set the time and press start. The manual does explain that traditional cold brewing takes 24 hours, so if that’s what you’re looking for, you can just put the pitcher in the fridge and enjoy your brew the next day. I was looking for instant gratification and was satisfied in under 20 minutes. What I didn’t like so much is there’s a "sludge” of coffee at the bottom of the pot. Maybe that’s inherent with this type of brewer, but I didn’t like it.When it’s all said and done, the Instant Cold Brewer makes a great brew that is smooth and not at all bitter. If you like your cold brew or iced coffee, this little machine will deliver!
