DVR yes DVR yes DVR but the difference is the customer support. I'm pretty good with software and hardware, but their customer support saves me hours of "learning time" by adjusting settings I'm not familiar with. A previous reviewer pointed out that apps require too many permissions. My experience is that every remote viewing app for mobile devices I've found is a great data collector. In addition, setting up email notifications introduces another security risk. The price you pay for a service.
