Review on Saucony Tornado Storm Medium Running Shoe by Tony Andrews

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The fit is perfect for my feet; very convenient.

I wear these Saucony Tornado 2s as a hiking shoe as I need something with good arch support. They are perfect for that. My feet are large 11.5 and although they were a little tight at first they have stretched a bit and now fit my feet perfectly. The soles are made of an elastic, high resilience foam, which makes them durable and the sole grip is excellent. I have no problem on wet, slippery floors like in grocery stores etc. (They squeaked a bit at first but that stopped after an hour of wear.) Inside the shoe is padded in all the expected places. especially around the heel and ankle. They appear to be very well made and I did not find any loose threads or missing crooked seams. Everything looks great. After about two months of wearing them I haven't noticed any detachment between the sole and the shoe itself or anything else. They hold together very well and I wear them everywhere. They have no strange smells, their fingers are not too long to cling to something (e.g. the ledges of a ladder). This is a great everyday shoe, although made for running. I haven't run in them but I think they do more than just do the job. Saucony has a great reputation in the running community and when I was in high school many years ago their shoes and Brooks were considered the best. With comfort and stability, strength and durability, these Tornado shoes have served this hiking shopper very well.
