I took the steering wheel with me on a safari in Oman and used it there for the first time. I removed the coil about 10 feet which made it easier to get to the holes with the understudy. The handle, which you simply fold down before you shoot the safety sausage, makes it easier to hold and control the wheel - it worked perfectly the first time. As soon as you let go of the sausage, hold it by the handle - maybe support the spool a bit with your index finger - the spool will unroll easily.
