I bought this to replace a worn key fob for a 2013 Kia Sportage. The dismantling of the circuit board and key blade from the old key fob was very tedious, they are not screwed but snap in very firmly. The replacement key fob comes with a blank key blade that you need to replace with your own key blade. Assembly is pretty easy. I decided on a new 2032 battery because the old battery had already been in use for 5 years. A couple of caveats: the replacement keychain came with a screw to hold the pieces together. Actually I think the screw is too long to hold the parts together. When I put the screw in, it actually resulted in the pieces not locking properly. I decided to omit the screw altogether and just apply a few drops of superglue to the joints of the pieces. After assembly, the parts are well connected and the edges are level. I noticed that when I pressed the button to pull out the blade, the blade wasn't exactly perpendicular to the key ring. The plastic notch where the blade stopped wasn't deep enough, so I had to use a nail file to file the notch a little deeper. The blade now opens 100%, while it previously opened about 97%.
