Purchased for Kia Soul 2013. Very easy to replace. The hardest part was getting the parts out of the original factory key. I almost had to smash it to get the parts. It takes some fiddling to adjust the spring properly for the key to open properly. There are many tutorials on YouTube for this. I will say that the case dangles a little and opens. The easy fix is to just seal it. key like new!

Replacing my broken key fob cost almost $300. Hoping the circuit board in the old key fob was still ok, I ordered one of these to test before spending that much money. My husband disassembled an old key fob and assembled a new one in 10 minutes. Works perfectly. We just reused the old key instead of getting the blank that came with it and saved even more. Works with key fob for my 2012 Kia Soul. The only downside is that the "trunk button" is actually an alarm clock lol. I hope nobody ever tries that on my keys. Oh, and the key basically doesn't stay private anymore. Do you know how when you close the button you can press the button and it appears? I was able to replace a broken 2011 Kia Soul suitcase with this one but I think it replaces newer suitcases than mine. The blade that came with the case was centered on the newer Kias, not off center like mine. Not so hot what's up. I just used my old blade. Everything looks correct, but I have a problem when I turn off the car. Mine requires inserting and turning the key to pull it out of the ignition and the edge of the case hooks right around the corner where the spring releases it. I'll get

My car is 9 years old so the buttons on the key fob were pressed so many times that the plastic got damaged and fell off. Luckily I repaired the pieces and re-glued them as a workaround, otherwise the buttons to lock and unlock the car would be useless. This is a good replacement shell. The key blank was not the same as my 2012 Soul base, but I was able to replace my old key, spring and button to make it work. The center button on this clam is for a trunk release, not a panic button but I knew it was one. Either way, it's okay. Removing the circuit board etc. from the old case is not an easy task.
