Review on πŸ”‘ Ezzy Auto Keyless Entry FOB Shell: Replacement 3 Buttons Flip Folding Remote Key Case for Kia K5 K2 Sportage Rondo Soul Rio Optima/Magentis/Lotze by Shane Tomko

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It worked fine but wish the screw to hold it together was included

This is a good replacement shell. The key blank was not the same as my 2012 Soul base, but I was able to replace my old key, spring and button to make it work. The center button on this clam is for a trunk release, not a panic button but I knew it was one. Either way, it's okay. Removing the circuit board etc. from the old case is not an easy task. There are some good videos on YouTube on how to do this. I would suggest checking them out before you start. I used a small pair of pliers and bit off the old shell until it all came free. I'm deducting a star because the kit didn't come with a screw to hold the new shell together. (Though there's room for one.) I suppose you could put a little super glue around the edges and call it good, but I wanted the shell to fall apart again if I ever need to replace it. I found a tiny screw in my coffee can that worked great in the hole it was designed for. The head on the one I had was slightly larger than the hole in the body so it sticks out a bit. Because of this I was unable to install the KIA logo that came with the body. Actually, it's nothing to worry about. I have a working key fob again for a fraction of the OEM price.
