Very good switch for KVM switches

This item works fine. I've read some reviews on here about it breaking too quickly. I suspect it's mostly due to user error or an incomplete understanding of computer operating systems. After a while Windows will get out of sync with USB devices, same goes for MAC OS and Linux - yes it sucks but there is a fix. One that can be frustrating as having to shut down both computers and unplug both KVM USB sockets from each computer and then plug them back in and reboot systems. This happened to me once and they are brand new, just plug them back in and I'm back in business. So far, so good. Understanding what a low-cost KVM can and cannot do is key to successful deployment. Note that this device is not used to switch devices such as USB flash memory, hard drives or other NON-HID devices. It really is made for HID (Human Interface Devices - Google it). If used for this purpose it should last you a long time. I am very happy with this inexpensive solution to run two computers on one monitor.
