
As others have said, it's a CPU beast. However, almost any "packaged" user application (non-server application) is not designed to run on this hardware tier. I believe there are three types of applications where this is warranted: 1. Blender and similar applications, 2. Some server class applications (remember this is not a real server processor i.e. Epic, 3. Most importantly - if You are professional development software consuming all available cores with near-linear scalability This is my case, my algorithms need as many cores as possible, fastest random access I/O memory (read Intel Optane) and as much RAM Only downside is I'm limited to 256GB of ram for 4 channels so I'll probably upgrade to a dual Epic system if I can justify the cost.
