Let me start by saying that I wear a size 15 4E. I have for decades. I've been buying New Balance shoes for decades as they are one of the few companies that make them in my size. These shoes are arranged in a strange way. The toe is ridiculously deep. If the lacing and tension is tight enough, a noticeable 0.5 to 0.75 inch hump of fabric will protrude between the bottom lace eyelets. I've never had this problem with a pair of New Balance 15 4E shoes and have worn (and worn out) dozens of them. They are designed as orthopedic/medical shoes, not running shoes. Also, these sneakers don't seem to be very well made. Granted, these aren't 993s, but supposed New Balance shoes are nonetheless. Hence you might think they will be NB quality. The outsole/tread appears to be quite thin on my sample. The fabric doesn't seem very durable either. In general, they just seem thin.
