This adapter works as advertised but it might be better to buy an adapter with a cable between the two ports. Make sure there is enough space around the mini HDMI connector to accommodate the wider regular HDMI connector. In order for this to work, I had to unplug cables in nearby ports. Also make sure the weight of your cable is supported and not hanging down as the weight of the cable will push down on the adapter and put pressure on the mini HDMI connector and internal circuit board. . (this can be a good reason to buy an adapter with cable between the fittings)
