The light dims the circle in the center when on.
I bought this flashlight for two reasons: first, to charge it, and second, to detect dog urine. I have another black light that needs batteries and I'm so tired of walking around with them. So for the charging part, it works great. However, there isn't much to use it for what I need! When the light hits what it's aimed at, a large black circle appears in its center, making it difficult for me to spot dog urine. Therefore I am not satisfied with it and will not recommend it.
