So good. just wow. Super quality that works quite economically over the service life.

Wow. It really gets to the point. LAUGH OUT LOUD. I've almost given up trying to get really great sound out of my vinyl. But on first listen, even in somewhat raw, unspoiled condition, this cassette is just brilliant. She played her "difficult" record. The one who always had a nasty hiss when he heard a hiss. No, nothing but clean, punchy highs. They'll probably soften up after listening to a dozen or so records. It sweeps away everything I could get from my old Stanton 681eee. Probably just because it's forgiving of minor misalignments I made. The record was a new old stock, Thompson Twins, Hers To Future Days, circa 1985. Stanton S-Arm ST150m2. Set the Stevenson A alignment to 2 g. Looking forward to seeing how it improves after a bit of running and some weight/vertical alignment/anti-skating adjustments. Surprisingly good with just default settings. We're going to look at one of the most economical models in the range for initial use of goodwill purchases. Keep in mind that this may sound expensive, but the actual needle life is also three times longer than the cheapest conical model. So with a needle life of 1000 hours this is almost the same price as adding two spare needles to a cheap version. You can also have quality.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
