Perfect for my needs! I'm a petite woman (5ft 2in, 124lbs) who bought this as a shower stool because I find it relaxing (no mobility issues). I've been using it for about half a year now, I haven't noticed any signs of mold or discoloration. I have a pretty standard bathroom (no walk-in shower, no garden tub, no custom size, etc.) and this stool is one of the few small enough to sit flat on the bottom of my tub. I didn't notice any scratches or damage to the tub. I don't clean or disinfect my stool - I just rinse it out at the end of the shower and shake off the excess water. This stool feels strong enough to support my weight and folds easily for storage. However, I would not recommend this stool for use in the bath for children or those with limited mobility. Because it is small and light and has no non-slip feet, it is easy to fall off or slip if the user leans too far. I'm not sure if it can handle people much heavier than me. Because it's such a low chair, users with limited mobility may find it difficult to use, and taller users will likely find it uncomfortable as well.
