I've just tested them for durability and brightness and I'm not disappointed. First in terms of durability. They remained consistently bright for the first 12 hours and then continued to burn for 2 hours before finally dimming. They were still dimly lit 20 hours after I first activated them. It definitely gets a 5 out of 5 for durability. They're not overly bright, they illuminate the map or whatever you're trying to read, but they don't illuminate your immediate surroundings, which is not what they're designed for either. They are designed to read maps and give signals, which they are good at. Overall they do what they are designed to do and last longer than the advertised 12 hours. There's also a clip at the top to make it easier to attach to backpacks or whatever, which is really useful too.
