The packaging was written entirely in Japanese, but the instructions were poorly written in English, but still understandable. The cutest part was that it comes with a variety of blades that are easy to keep up with - the box attaches to the blade handle - and then you can put the blade cartridges in, which are difficult to get out unless you have nails or you have to open it up turn your head. The bottom has lightly rubberized feet on the bottom and plenty of places to make the right cut from the board. Nice gift for scrapbookers and planners
