Review on Enhanced Cooking 25110 Classic Instant Read Thermometer, 1 EA, Black by Sarah Mills

I bought one of these because our tricky electronic thermometer stopped working and I thought a non-electronic thermometer might be a good alternative. According to the instructions, this thermometer can be calibrated, although it is said to be accurate when delivered. Well I've used it and it was lower than some others we have and when I went to calibrate it in a bowl of ice and some water as directed, the thermometer read 20 degrees Fahrenheit, and no matter which way I looked I turned the calibration nut, the readings did not change. I ended up throwing the thermometer away in disgust. Not worth sending back for this price. Spend your money elsewhere.
