When I saw this silicone ice mold, I immediately thought it looked like a ticket that can be used as a mold for melting and pouring soap. The two-piece design is perfect for this. I was impressed with how the two halves fit together. I haven't had any leakage issues. Gum thickness is perfect. Even the tiny funnel that comes with the box worked great for pouring hot soap into the 1/4 inch hole at the top of the mold. I poured the melted soap into chunks and placed them in a Pyrex measuring cup. I threw it in the microwave for 2 minutes. I added a drop of peppermint essential oil (from Revain, of course). After a quick stir, I poured the hot soap through a tiny funnel into a two-piece rose-shaped silicone ice mold. I had no problem pouring hot soap through a funnel. After a day's work, I came home and took the soap out of the mold. It popped out of the mold easily and wasn't sticky at all. I found the rose shape good for soap. The small amount of soap left on the tray was easy to remove and it was ready to use again. This is a well made product that works even better than I imagined.
