When I took all the parts of this vacuum cleaner out of the box, I would swear something was missing. It just didn't look like the parts I removed would turn into the vacuum pictured on the front of the box. But, surprise! Just like one of those transformers, the parts came together and really did look exactly like the picture. Positively surprised by the weight of the device. It really was as easy as they say. And frankly, the vacuum's maneuverability was amazing. Comparing it to my old Dirt Devil, it feels like a fine Italian sports car. I could easily reach under the tables and maneuver around corners like a pro. There was very little resistance and it seemed to slide easily across the carpet. The bin was full in no time and was easy to remove and empty into the bin. In fact, it filled up very, very quickly. Either my house was dirtier than I thought, or the canister is too small. I decided to test the entire model, so I ran it across the bare floor as well. Again, it glided almost like a hovercraft, leaving practically nothing behind. Then I took off the handset and sucked it up the stairs. He did great with them too. So I'm excited about this vacuum cleaner. I really enjoyed cleaning my house, which must have been a first for me. The performance of the device was everything Shark claimed. But I have a few things that I think could be improved. Here they are: while I like the light at the bottom of the vacuum, it's noticeably lacking on the handheld. It would be nice if they could install it on him too. I could really use it, but I really missed it. As mentioned, the model is incredibly light, but I don't like the fact that it just can't stand upright unattended. Due to the high center of gravity, it has to be leaned against something else, making it a bit awkward. According to the user manual, you can detach the top of the device and hang it on a storage hook under the main body. Haven't tried it yet, but it might be enough for it to work on its own. And if I'm not missing anything, there doesn't seem to be a place to store a single nozzle with a rotating brush. I'll re-read the booklet - I very well could have overlooked it, but there's room for every accessory so I was surprised there wasn't any storage space. The few downsides I just mentioned are minor and definitely shouldn't put you off this purchase. I like that I don't have to deal with "bags" although I wish the dirt bin was a bit bigger. There's something oddly satisfying about throwing dirt in the trash can. It just makes you feel like you've done a great cleaning job!
