I know this might seem like a silly app but I got it to throw more light from the pathetic lights in my attic so I can see where my Christmas decorations are going go and be stored out of season. Now, a typical 60 watt incandescent bulb should put out about 800 lumens. These things put out 8,000 lumens, or about 10 times more than a single 60W bulb. They're day white, not cool white, so yes, they let in a lot of light, very far. Seriously, I screw the first one into the lamp above the garage and see the light hit another. Side of an L Shaped House / 2K Square Foot Loft. So far so good, very satisfied. They work as advertised. However, I would like to add that they come with some weird little plastic surface mount fasteners. Only IMHO, but these things belong in the recycling center. They are completely meaningless.
