Bad: Please understand that the crucible holds 18 fl oz. not solid. So it took me several measurements to melt a full pound of wax and I still don't think I got to the full 16 ounces. The wick is PURE GARBAGE. Many of them were already fully bent at the tongue upon arrival. So it has worked for me. - Wick tabs are useless. They are MUCH larger than the actual metal tabs on the wicks, making them awkward to place in a container. As we then poured the wax into the container, the wicks began to float and I had to hold them with several wooden stirrers until the wax started to set. (which in turn messed up the setting process of the wax) - something discolored a small portion of the wax. Not a big deal since I colored the wax anyway, but leaving the candles undyed would have caused a problem. - Not enough fragrance for a 10% fragrance load, but if you're making individual candles, not by the pound. I think. It's just that I already had other essential oils at home, so I let them work. Well-The wax is excellent for this purpose. Keep in mind that I am testing this technique to re-familiarize myself with the art of candle making. Despite the issues I was having, I was able to heat the top and one of my first candles was fixed. Minimal icing on a candle. Takes color very well and I've heard that most soy waxes have problems if you don't use liquid color. EXCELLENT cold throw! I hope the hot throw is just as strong. Just take a look. The dyes should last me quite a while. I like pastels :) - Pot (yes I know it's listed above too) but it's great for small batches. And nice to use for all excesses and meltdowns. - I really liked the stirrers and sticks for centering the wick. It saved me from using my spoons so I'm SUPER happy lol thermometer. If you make candles, YOU NEED A GOOD THERMOMETER! Please read the details fully, no battery will be provided. I took family $3 for about $6 although I could probably get them cheaper but I was in a hurry and didn't want to wait. - Silicone molds, I don't plan on using them (I only make containers) but I might think if I ever just want to play around. But it's nice to have. In general. Because of the wicks and wick reeds, I don't recommend it. It's hard to make a candle if the wicks aren't working properly. My suppositories are currently being treated but due to these issues I am not very confident. If you take it for individual materials, then of course. But since most people who buy kits do so with the intention of making candles. Either choose a different kit or buy your own wicks and some better joining techniques.
