Review on 📀 Thin All Region Free Mini DVD Player: 1080P Full HD with HDMI/AV Output - PAL/NTSC Compatible - USB Compatible by Mark Hobbs

SUMMARY: Using this product has been disappointing. I was hoping to use this to replace the fiddly DVD player in my home entertainment system, but instead I'm sticking with my fiddly DVD player and getting rid of this device. Not recommended. WHAT I LIKE: The device *really* worked flawlessly. It played correctly the DVD I used to test this product. The remote had volume buttons so I didn't have to hold this remote and the remote to my stereo when I wanted the volume up/down or mute - It came with HDMI and RCA cables which was good for compatibility - software settings The default was ready to use this device in America. WHAT DID NOT ISSUE: - The remote control buttons often didn't respond when I pressed them. I learned how to press hard to make sure the signal is being sent. When the device is off, it still draws enough current to keep the bottom of the device warm to the touch. It's hardly very energy efficient when I'm feeling warm even when it's turned off. When the device is switched off, the red LED, visible from all sides, lights up. When it's on, the green LED is lit, but you can only see it if you look directly at the device (and it takes a while for the TV screen to display anything, so it's not clear for a moment if the device turns on or not) - During setup (via the setup menu) the setup screen was *very* unresponsive and seemed to freeze to the point where if I wanted to change anything in the setup menu I had to turn off the device and restart it. I've often had instances where I've pressed buttons and the screen hasn't responded. Two AAA batteries weren't included in the kit so I had to check (good thing I had them). The remote control buttons didn't respond due to dead batteries as I used two brand new ones. Since this is a *portable* DVD player, I expected it to have a hard plastic storage case so I could transport it. this device and some cables. It has no such reservoir. I think I should use the box it came in. - The installation interface is blocky (see my photo) and looks like an interface from the 1990s. CONCLUSION: This is a 3 star product at best, but the lukewarm response during installation brought it down. One more star so I'm only giving it 2 stars. It works but I don't like it and I don't recommend this device.
