This product fits my Bissell 1940W model perfectly. Some of the negative reviews say these pads are too small, don't fit, difficult to put on and take off, but I haven't found any of them. One reviewer stated that the "light release" is on the front and not the back of the mop head, but it should be on the front. For over a year I have always struggled with the placement of Bissell OEM mop pads on the mop head. and usually it lasted 10 minutes or more. I then removed the squeegee head from the handle so I didn't have to struggle with the entire squeegee when attaching the pad. I was then able to install the overlay in about 45 seconds. When attaching the mop head, make sure the gray stripe (see attached photo) is in front of the mop head and is evenly spaced from left to right. Adjust the front of the lining first, then stretch the lining to adjust the sides and back and it will fit perfectly. If the gray stripe isn't evenly distributed, you'll have a little more trouble getting it right. These pads are not expected to look new after washing. Even normal pads cannot be completely clean. I usually wash them with dish soap and rinse them before putting them in the washing machine.
