Review on Dell U3219Q 32-Inch LED Lit Monitor - High Dynamic Range, 60Hz Refresh Rate by Travis Faedzal

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall a great office monitor

I bought this to replace my Dell UltraSharp 2718 monitor for two main reasons. 1) I need a larger 4K display so I can view Mac and Windows computers at the same time, and 2) I need a display with built-in KVM. Overall this monitor doesn't disappoint and I really like its large display. I'm not a gamer so this monitor is great for my office work. Set up was simple and straightforward. While it was nice to have built-in USB-C, it wasn't the deciding factor. After a few months of use, the monitor is still working perfectly. Now a couple of caveats. The built-in KVM works, and it's nice that switching between my computers (including PBP and PIP) is relatively easy, albeit slow. The lack of a joystick for navigating the OSD makes navigating with the small buttons below the display cumbersome. While display switching between DP and HDMI is fast enough, KVM is quite slow, taking 5 to 10 seconds to switch between systems. Honestly, it was faster with my Logitech keyboard and mouse and their native support for 3 computers. Another issue is that I use wired ethernet connections and to support this over KVM I had to get USB ethernet adapters for each computer as the monitor doesn't have built in ethernet. Given the cost of the monitor, I think it should have included a wired Ethernet port that could be switched along with KVM. Despite the nits, I really like the monitor and overall I'm happy with my purchase.
