1/22/21 I am 6'1" and weigh 194 pounds. Kind of lanky. I bought XL. This was my first purchase of cycling shorts so I did a lot of research first and chose this brand based on reviews, comments and photos. My biggest concerns were the windbreak, sweat wicking, and buttocks. Several reviews indicated that the lack of a drawstring waist was an issue and the tights tended to fall down. I rode about 6 miles round trip with an outdoor TRX training stop midway through. The only slippage of the tights was during my TRX workout, but even that was minor. Also, I could easily pause my workout and pull them up, although I didn't really need to. I had no problems with slipping while driving (I had two shirts which I both tucked in. That might have helped). Another criticism was that the recoil pad was too thin and didn't stay in place. Since I have a pretty bony butt, that was a big concern for me. But I found the pillow very comfortable and it stayed in place well. As for slipping, I think the people who complained might have been oversized. Next, wind and wick. Although it wasn't very cold this morning (high forty with the wind), it was cool enough to know that these tights scored well in both categories. Cons: Fortunately, not many. The only possible downside might be that I noticed a slight bulge behind my knees. It wasn't a problem, just an observation. However, I can imagine that this could become a problem on longer journeys. Conclusion: My first impression is pure love and appreciation. I really enjoyed having them this morning. They were a perfect match for both the cycling and the TRX - and I didn't feel like I had a load in my pants when I was training. One more note. I have long legs and was concerned about the length. It turns out they are perfect for me.
