Review on 🌡️ UCTRONICS K-Type Thermocouple Temp Sensor: Digital Temperature Meter with Blue LED Display and Black Case by Eric Pavelko

USE: Using thermocouples to design an experiment for engineering students at my university. APPLICATIONS: They're not that bad, settling time can be quite long. the two thermocouple readings show approximately the same temperature (+/- 0.5 C). I tell my students to wait 12 seconds, sometimes that doesn't feel like enough. At home, the installation took up to 20 seconds. PROBLEM: When reading the room temperature, your hand must block the light to read the display. I connected it to a 12V DC power supply that plugs into the wall. Checked the voltage beforehand to make sure the power is ok, everything is ok. Soldered on and the display is dark which is a little disappointing.
