Review on Kaytee CritterTrail Super Habitat Animals by Lacey Anderson

PRO: I really like this cage. I think this is great for people who want a cage that is more than enough square inches to meet the United States minimum requirements for their hamster without building a litter cage or purchasing an aquarium. It has plenty of room for all kinds of toys for your hamster, enough depth for your hamster to burrow in, and there's space to hook up additional trail accessories, which I think is a really cool feature. It was very difficult to put together and in the process some of the bars actually came apart. It doesn't have a front opening so the only way to get into the cage is through the top, but the opening is very large which makes it easy to clean and move things around the cage. Another downside is that my hamster is very fond of climbing the bars which is very concerning as he is so small and could injure himself if he falls on the shelf or ramp. It's good that my hamster can reach the shelf, it's very big and takes up a lot of space in the cage. I believe the price could have been lower (I bought it for around $100) as it is difficult to place. together and the material used doesn't seem to be the strongest but I still really like this cage because it doesn't take up much space, it meets the requirements it needs to fit, it can hold a lot of small toys. into it, and most importantly, my hamster seems to really like it! (Pygmy Russian Hamster) She used to be on a small animal trail that was available until I could find a better position for her that would fit in my room (only 5 days, no worries). But she definitely loves this upgrade, and the funny thing is you can still upgrade a cage without having to buy a completely different cage to do it. Either way, the cage has its pros and cons, so keep that in mind.
