Review on Bridgestone Blizzak Ice 225/60 R16 98S winter by Adam Paka (Adam Trab ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

A set of winter tires without studs were purchased for an elderly driver to use on a Skoda Octavia 1.8 liter automobile for use on city streets and on highway excursions on Sundays. The brand was not picked at random; identical winter Velcro from Bridgestone has been used for many years without complaint and has been swapped between the old and new Skodas several times. Because to his own carelessness, his balloon was punctured by a side stone on the way there. Went out and got some new tires. All around the city, prices were exactly the same. I watched as they inflated the tires. Cylinder balancing, geometry, and tire installation all went smoothly. Acceleration was good, and tire behavior was satisfactory, much like the old tires, on a damp, slushy roadway where it was tested just after installation. As velocity increases, predictability decreases. High-velocity noise was not vetted. I want to be clear that this is not a winter racing tire; the rubber is made for a smooth, quiet ride. The masters have requested that the old tires be left behind; this could have some significance. Only a few months of use have passed, but I have faith that these Bridgestone tires will hold up just as well as their predecessors.

Pros
  • age driver exhibits consistent conduct at legal speeds, makes a minimal amount of noise, and expresses no opinions.
Cons
  • The price could be reduced.
