filter error. Water damage to new cabinets and hardwood floor

About a month after installation the seal must have been broken due to the kitchen cabinet being flooded. The wooden floor began to sag and water seeped into the wall. The filter let the water through. Replacing the filter stopped the leak. My first message to the supplier went unanswered for a week
