Does not work as an extender for USB printer

How to use this excellent USB printer cable: Printer Cable, SNANSHI USB 2.0 USB Printer Cable, Type A Male Type B Male Scanner Cable Printers for HP, Canon, Lexmark, Epson, Dell, Xerox, Samsung etc. 25ft (8 meters) and 25ft weren't enough for my application so I bought them as extension cords. Neither package worked, and my system didn't even see the printer anymore. These cables are back.
