They are better than I expected. In fact, these are stars on a wire frame with intertwined greenery, as well as garlands with a battery pack. I've used them to replace the wired sprockets I've had in previous years and I'm very happy I don't have a tangled cable. I put them on the windowsill and the batteries lie quietly on the windowsill. I have 5 front windows in my house so this set is a good solution for my front window Christmas decorations. They have multiple light modes like blinking, twinkling, etc. I just left them on. Each requires 3 batteries so you only need 15 batteries for them to work.
