The bottom washer has an interference fit that is leaking. I have a 25 year old Italian butter dish with a 3/4 seam that goes all the way to the rim of the can. This seam is the maximum fill line and cannot leak. This modern creation is pure trash and underscores the genius of Chinese engineering. Buy this if you like coming home to an oil slick.
