Ideal for walking. Small enough for my phone and water bottle. Big enough when I need to buy a few things at the supermarket. Comfortable to wear. The little pocket on the strap is too small for a phone but great for money and Carmex. A small pocket along the back seam holds your phone so you don't have to find it in the main compartment. Can also be used for iPod or phone with headphones without getting in the way when walking. The main compartment also has a very large zipped pocket that can fit a Kindle while still offering plenty of storage. If necessary, a change of clothes for a few days fits into the large main compartment. It's small but with HUGE storage. LOVE IT! I highly recommend this backpack. Good stitching and looks like it will last for years.
