I love Irwin products and have a few. Build quality is what is expected from Irwin. Great clamps, easy to use and get the job done. I'm only giving it 4 stars because, as already mentioned, the coating has flaked off in several places. It doesn't matter much, but it makes you feel like it's been used or abused before you get it. Does it affect performance? no Is it really important to you to have a nice clamp? no
