First, K&N doesn't list compatibility with the 2007 Cobalt SS/SC, however the same intake system is used for all three years of the car (05-07) and it matches the 07 The car gets a howl at high speeds with a noticeable increase in boost pressure at low speeds. Likely due to the removal of restrictive bends in the intake manifold. A common problem with aftermarket intake valves is the Check Engine light (due to too much air entering the system as occurs with a leak in a stock system) which I have NOT had. experience. K&N changed the original design of this intake and chances are they adjusted the MAF sensor reading to keep it within spec. The lack of 5 stars is due to the VERY tight installation. This can be quite an issue, but with a little work it will fit and it's one of the best designed/cleanest air intakes I've seen on a car.
